Can't see new User attribute in Visual Studio

Hello,

      I am new to FIM and have a quick project to do as soon as possible. We have FIM 2010 R2 and the Administrator already created new attributes to the User Type. Now, I want to see those new attributes in Visual Studio when creating new person resource. I only see the stock attributes. Do I have to pull all the FIM .dll files to be able to see these new attributes in Visual Studio?
